23rd annual GEM conference
The 23rd annual GEM conference will be held in Nausicaà (Boulogne-sur-mer, France), the largest aquarium in Europe. It will takes place from April 1st to 4th, 2025. The meeting will bring together international scientists working in the very vast field of biological membranes in an inspiring environment of scientific exchange and discussion.
The deadlines for early bird registration (March 16th) and abstract submission (March 1st) for oral presentation.
Participants will have the opportunity to submit a contribution to the special issue of Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) – Biomembranes. This special issue will delve into the pivotal role of cellular membranes in biological processes, spanning from bacteria to animals. We encourage submissions from a broad range of disciplines, including biochemistry, biophysics, physics, bioinformatics, and chemistry, to foster a comprehensive understanding of membrane structure, dynamics, and function.
Early bird discounts are valid until March 16th, 2025. Cheap hotels are available at walking distance. However, due to the maximum allowed occupancies of the conference room and dining/social areas, registrations will be limited to 100 attendants. Make sure to register as soon as possible!
